Ishan Gopalka, PE

Ishan Gopalka, PE is our Principal for all projects across the firm. He has worked in a large variety of projects in Indianapolis and Chicago. He is a Boilermaker, with a BSCE and an MSCE from Purdue University, West Lafayette.

While in Indianapolis, he has worked on multiple bridge projects of various types, ranging from new vehicular bridges to repair and rehabilitation of the existing highway and county bridges. He has also worked on multiple historic bridge projects. A few of his notable projects are the rehabilitation of LaPorte Street Footbridge, the conversion of an old Pennsylvania Railroad Pony Truss into a pedestrian bridge for Cardinal Greenway Trail, rehabilitation of a bedstead truss in Warrick County to name a few. The average age of these bridges when the rehabilitation was taking place was over a 110 years.

In Chicago, he has worked as a structural engineer for vertical structures. In this field, he has delivered projects in various industries, ranging from mission critical to retail spaces and restaurants. He has delivered designs in steel, ordinary reinforced, prestressed and post tensioned concrete, wood and cold formed steel.
